Terms and Conditions of Use
By booking and using Rhayader Scouts Pavilion, you agree to the following terms.
1. Responsibility for the Booking
The person making the booking is responsible for the conduct and safety of everyone attending during the hire period.
The hirer must ensure the Pavilion is used safely, respectfully, and only for the purpose stated at the time of booking.
2. Safety
The hirer is responsible for carrying out their own safety checks before and during use of the Pavilion.
All exits, walkways, and access routes must be kept clear at all times.
Children and vulnerable people must be properly supervised by the hirer at all times.
3. Kitchen Area
The kitchen area may be used with care.
The hirer is responsible for safe food preparation, safe use of kitchen equipment, and ensuring all appliances are switched off after use.
Hot surfaces, boiling water, knives, and electrical equipment must be used safely and supervised where necessary.
4. Damage and Breakages
The hirer is responsible for any damage to the building, fixtures, fittings, furniture, kitchen equipment, or other property caused during the hire period.
Any breakages, faults, or damage must be reported as soon as possible.
The hirer may be charged for repair, replacement, or additional cleaning costs.
5. Cleaning and Leaving the Pavilion
The Pavilion must be left clean, tidy, and ready for the next user.
All rubbish must be removed or placed in the correct bins.
Tables, chairs, kitchen surfaces, floors, toilets, and any used areas must be cleaned before leaving.
6. Equipment and Furniture
Furniture and equipment must be used safely and returned to its original position unless otherwise agreed.
No equipment should be removed from the Pavilion without permission.
7. Liability
Use of the Pavilion is at the hirer’s own risk.
Rhayader Scouts accepts no responsibility for injury, loss, damage, or theft unless caused by proven negligence on the part of Rhayader Scouts.
The hirer remains responsible for their own activities, guests, equipment, and personal belongings.
8. Behaviour
All users must behave respectfully and must not cause nuisance, damage, or disturbance to others.
Smoking and vaping are not permitted inside the Pavilion.
Illegal activity is strictly prohibited.
9. Fire Safety
The hirer must familiarise themselves with fire exits and emergency procedures.
Fire exits must not be blocked.
Candles, naked flames, or hazardous materials must not be used without prior permission.
10. End of Hire
The Pavilion must be vacated by the agreed end time.
All lights, taps, appliances, and heating must be switched off where applicable.
Doors and windows must be closed and secured before leaving.
11. Right to Refuse or Cancel
Rhayader Scouts reserves the right to refuse or cancel a booking where the use is considered unsuitable, unsafe, or likely to cause damage or disturbance.
12. Agreement
By completing a booking, the hirer confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions of Use.
